Case File 028: Hubris Syndrome and Jinni Possession
The Hubris syndrome is associated with power and is more likely to manifest in people who are used to exercising power. This is a syndrome that can’t be applied to anyone with existing mental illness or brain damage. Usually, symptoms abate when the person no longer exercises power.
But what happens when a Jinni possessed a person with innate Hubris Symptoms?
This case has taught me a lesson about possession. The usual belief people hold about possession is that the possessed are acting based on the character or will of the possessing entity.
It may surprise you to hear that most of the time, the behaviour of the possessed person is their own; a manifestation of their darkest part of their character, and alter ego.
Here, the possessed was a very sheltered young lady, aged 25 years old. Her mother’s inability to let go of her daughter and allow her to fend for herself had led her to create an alter ego seeking freedom.
Two weeks before the possession, ‘Lily’ went on a trip with her friends to Genting Highlands, Malaysia. When she returned home, she complained of headaches. Thinking that it was just holiday blues, she ignored them.
One morning some days later, she appeared to be agitated, claiming that her IQ was beyond normal human beings. She even announced her IQ will allow her to become the richest woman in the world, and many organisations, including government bodies, will be after her because she was so intelligent.
Lily’s mother, Mrs. K., heard of me through a mutual friend and asked if I could help take a look at her daughter and her sudden change.
When I arrived at their home, I was greeted by Mrs. K who informed me that her daughter is on her way back home. We waited for her in the living room and fifteen minutes later, she arrived home with her elder sister. When she saw me, Lily wanted to leave her home again.
Mrs. K managed to persuade her to sit with us, and we had a conversation.
During the conversation, I saw an insect-like entity attached to Lily. I managed to capture and subdued the entity during the conversation with Lily.
After which, Lily felt calmer. Her mother and elder sister could sense that there was a change in her.
She then excused herself from the conversation, citing exhaustion.
I told Mrs. K and her elder daughter about the entity that was leeching on Lily and that it was taken care of, but they have to monitor her behaviour. Although that has been dealt with, Lily needed to deal with her own mental health issues and the Hubris Syndrome.
Mrs. K kept asking if there was a faster way to treat her daughter. I advised her not to rush the treatment as that will only worsen Lily’s condition.
I am only an expert only in my field of work, capturing and subduing entities, and not a psychotherapist. For conditions such as these, they must seek psychiatric help
